The PACU at Mon Health Medical Center is a Phase I Level of Care and requires an RN with ICU or Step-Down experience. Nursing care is provided to patients in the immediate post anesthesia period. The goal of the PACU is to safely transition the patient to Phase II level of care, an inpatient department, or to the ICU. The PACU is staffed Monday – Friday from 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Two RNs are on-call daily from 8:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. Monday – Friday; weekends and holidays are covered by 24-hour call.  BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification are required.

Job Summary:

As a RN at Mon Health you will coordinate total patient centered care ensuring optimal service to the communities we serve.

 Education Requirements:

Incumbent must be a graduate of school of nursing.

Experience Requirements:

Effective interpersonal communication skills in order to effectively collaborate with physicians, and instruct patients and their families.

Certifications/ Licensure Requirements:

Must possess licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in WV. Must possess BLS certification within probationary period.

Physical Requirements:

Heavy Work

May exert up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently and/or in excess of 20 lbs. of force constantly.


Location: Mon Health Medical Center · Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Schedule: Full Time, Days/Evenings, days/evenings

As a condition of employment and in compliance with federal regulations, Mon Health requires COVID-19 vaccination.
