Registered Nurse Weekend - Step Down Unit $15,000 sign on bonus (experienced)

The Stepdown Unit (SDU) at Mon Health Medical Center is considered an intermediate care level unit. Patients are received from the Emergency Department, Direct Admissions, transfers from ICU/CCU, and other units within the hospital. The primary patient population are Cardiac but includes a variety of diagnosis to include respiratory, surgical, vascular disorders, and intermediate medical level of care. Frequent diagnoses for the unit include coronary artery disease, heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and post recovery open-heart surgery.  Continuous cardiac EKG monitoring is utilized on all patients served on the unit. The 36-bed unit has an amazing team of nurses who are dedicated to providing exceptional care to the patients served in our community. RN shifts are

7:00  a.m.- 7:00 p.m. BLS is require with ACLS certification within 1 year.

Job Summary:

As a RN at Mon Health you will coordinate total patient centered care ensuring optimal service to the communities we serve.

 Education Requirements:

Incumbent must be a graduate of school of nursing.

Experience Requirements:

Effective interpersonal communication skills in order to effectively collaborate with physicians, and instruct patients and their families.

Certifications/ Licensure Requirements:

Must possess licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in WV. Must possess BLS certification within probationary period.

Heavy Work

May exert up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently and/or in excess of 20 lbs. of force constantly.
