a. Minimum Education Requirement : Must possess reading, writing, and mathematical skills and ability to understand written instruction and receive and transmit information; skills/ability normally acquired through a High School Diploma or GED.

b. Minimum Experience Requirement : : Demonstrated proficiency in assisting dependent population with Activities of Daily Living and Vital Sign monitoring experience preferred. Knowledge of long-term care population practices and procedures and/or one year prior nursing assistance experience preferred. Must be able to understand and follow VHP and department policies and procedures and operate departmental equipment, normally obtained through on-the job training. Effective interpersonal communication skills are necessary in order to maintain cooperative work relationships.

c. Minimum License Requirement : BLS/AED, First Aid Certification and Food Handlers Card within 30 days of hire.
