Inpatient Echo Tech I - $20,000 Sign on Bonus

Performs and documents cardiac ultrasound procedures as defined in departmental Scope of Care. Performs all modalities of stress testing, Holter testing and EKG. Also performs support functions for unit.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement : Must possess reading, writing, and mathematical skills and the ability to understand written instruction and receive and transmit information; knowledge/ability normally is acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).

b. Minimum Experience Requirement : One year cardiovascular experience is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of, or ability to utilize and understand output of, EKG equipment, stress equipment and Holter Scanner; knowledge/ability normally is acquired through work experience or specialized course work. Demonstrated familiarity with medical terminology, heart medications, and cardiac arrhythmias. Demonstrated ability to maintain, adjust, and perform basic troubleshooting of EKG equipment, Holter equipment, and stress equipment. Demonstrated ability to effectively and pleasantly communicate, both verbally and in writing, with patient, physicians and co-workers.

c. Minimum License Requirement : Current BCLS certification is required.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions

Heavy Work: Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs with a maximum lifting of 100 lbs.
