Clinical Dietitian ($5,000 Sign-On Bonus)

Job Summary

Utilizing the nutrition care process, Clinical (Registered) Dietitians will provide nutritional care to individual patients through assessment of nutritional status, identifying of specific nutrition problem (nutrition diagnosis), implementing appropriate nutrition intervention, and monitoring outcomes directly related to the nutrition diagnosis in accordance with provider orders, regulatory agencies, Mon Health System policies, and department guidelines. Clinical Dietitians will act as a liaison between patients, providers and Nutrition Services. Clinical Dietitians will mentor and assist Dietetic Interns, Diet Clerks, Hostesses, and Food Service Employees to promote greater patient tolerance to therapeutic diets ordered by providers. Clinical Dietitians will fulfill their duties to ensure continuity and quality of care which fosters well-being and is in the best interest of the patient and their families.

Job Requirements

a. Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences.

b. Minimum Experience Requirement: Interpersonal communication skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with patients/families, physicians, and other Mon Heath System employees. Previous hospital experience referred.

c. Minimum License Requirement: Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association. WV Registered Dietitian license. Food Handler's card from Monongalia County within 30 days of hire.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions

Light Work: Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 lbs. with a maximum lifting of 25 lbs.
